The Greater San Antonio Area Now At Stage 1 Water Restrictions

The greater San Antonio area is now under Stage 1 water restrictions. Often times we forget how much water we actually use and everything that we use it for. Cooking, cleaning, washing our clothes, keeping our pools filled during this extreme heat of a South Texas summer. Water plays a big part in our every day life and we should all work together to ensure that this precious resource is plentiful for us and our children as they grow and have their own families.

So what does it mean to be under Stage 1 water restrictions? Well for the most part, you can still go about your every day life and use water the way you normally would in your home. The only exception would be watering using a sprinkler or irrigation system. You are only allowed to water one day during the week with your system. However, you can hand water using a watering can or hose at any time of the day during any day of the week. Stage 1 restrictions aren’t all that bad. In fact there have been some suggestions, that as our area should be under a continuous Stage 2 water restrictions. When you think about it, it’s not that bad of an idea especially given how the greater San Antonio area has grown over the last 5 years.
