Happy New Year, San Antonio
I can’t believe that 2020 is here! Maybe it’s just me, but 2019 went by too fast. It’s interesting that as we get older, different things become important to us. When I was younger, I tried to learn as much as I could about our family business and constantly thought about how to grow it. Now that I am married, I still think about all of these things, but now have kids of my own and am constantly looking back at how much they have grown, what they have learned over the past year and try to remember where the time has gone.
This time of year is extremely special for us at Alamo Water Softeners. As a business, we get to look back at everything that we have accomplished together over the past year. How many new friends we have been able to make and most importantly, look back at all the opportunities we’ve had to serve our community. Maybe it’s raising money for the San Antonio Humane Society, or donating time and resources to help build homes for wounded veterans. Serving our community is one of the most important things to our family. Whether at church, in our neighborhood or in the city, we do what we do because we love to serve. We love to help people. This time of year also gives us the opportunity to look back to see where we could have done better. Are we really doing everything we can for our customers? Are we staying true to our promise to you? We ask ourselves these questions everyday.
When it comes to our family, and you probably run into this as well, no matter whether it is our kids activities, a special event for your spouse or even your own job. As parents, we all want to be there for our kids and spend as much time with them as we can when they are little because it’s inevitable that they grow up and eventually leave the nest, go to college and grow families of their own someday. This is the one time of year everything slows down so that we are able to enjoy some time with those that we love most under the same roof to celebrate and give thanks. Time, like water, is one of our most valuable, most important commodities. Primarily because once they are gone, we can’t really get it back. We always want more quality time with our loved ones so that we can create moments and memories we will never forget. Just like we want the highest quality ingredients so that we can live our life to the fullest. When we are running short of either time or water, everyone wishes they had more.
So as we each go into this new year, we want to thank you. Thank you for being part of our family. Thank you for being our friends. Thank you for being our partners. Thank you for calling on us and allowing us to serve you and your family.
