It's amazing what happens when scientists and researchers get their hands on some new things regarding our most valuable environmental resource, water. "Water has been researched in infinite ways, but new water-related research still has the power to surprise us." In this study, released in February from the Water Quality Research Foundation (WQRF) focuses on what actually happens to water when you remove the hardness elements and how it benefits our daily use of this resource.
In short, the WQRF ran through three different studies using Laundry, Dishwashers and other items to check the effectiveness on treated and softened water on dishes and laundry. In just about every case, softened water over performed and drove better results than water that wasn't treated. You can read a synopsis of the studies HERE.
